FSC - Forest Stewardship Council
FSC™, or the Forest Stewardship Council, is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forest management and responsible timber production. FSC sets rigorous standards for forestry practices that prioritise environmental conservation, social responsibility, and economic viability. FSC certification is recognised worldwide as a mark of environmentally and socially responsible forestry.
FSC-certified materials ensure that timber comes from responsibly managed forests. This means that harvesting is carried out in a way that allows forests to regenerate, supports biodiversity, and respects the rights and wellbeing of workers and local communities.
At Konges Sløjd, we continue to offer products made with FSC-certified materials, such as wooden toys and paper accessories. These products are certified under our suppliers’ FSC certifications.
Konges Sløjd holds an FSC™ trademark licence, which allows us to communicate and promote FSC-certified products. However, we are not FSC-certified as a company, and the certification is held by our suppliers.

GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard
GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard, is a leading certification for organic textiles worldwide. It ensures that textiles meet rigorous environmental and social criteria throughout their entire supply chain – from harvesting to manufacturing and trading.
The GOTS certification is our – and your – guarantee that the product is responsibly made from organic and safe materials, produced using responsible practices and fair labor standards.
We are proud to be a GOTS certified company. Our continued aim is to offer soft and comfortable textiles for children that are safe to wear - free from any harmful chemicals, including pesticides and fluorine.

RCS - Recycled Claim Standard
The Recycle Claim Standard (RCS) is a certification system that verifies the presence and percentage of recycled materials in a product. OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is a widely recognized certification for textiles and clothing, ensuring that products are free from harmful substances. It sets stringent limits on chemicals and substances used in textile production to protect both consumers and the environment. When you see the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 label on a textile product, you can trust that it has undergone rigorous testing for safety and quality.

A-Label
The A-label means that the product meets the severe safety requirements made by the Joint Council of Creative and Hobby Materials (FFFH). The A-label specifically applies to products that are in close contact with the skin, ensuring that these products are safe to use, allergy-approved, and free from harmful chemicals that may cause skin reactions.
